- A California man sits in jail after an arrest on kidnapping charges involving an 11-year-old Nampa girl. CBS-2 staff report the case started with the case of a runaway, ending with locating the child at a local motel with the arrested California man. (IdahoNews)
- Students in the Boise School District are required to wear masks. Late Tuesday evening, the West Ada School District mandated masks for students, but allowed parents to opt out children. - COVID-19 does release you from jury duty. KTVB‘s John Masters has the story. Jury trials in Ada County have been suspended for the week of Aug. 30 due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases. (KTVB-TV)
- An old fraud scheme took a scary turn and now, a native of Argentina has been arrested. An Ada County woman was contacted and informed a family member was in jail and needed money for release. However, rather than send the money, this time a personal visit was made to the home of the elderly woman. (Boise Patch)
