Morning, Indianapolis! Let’s get this day started. Here’s everything you need to know in town today.

Here are the top stories in Indianapolis today:

  1. Saturday’s annual Susan G. Komen’s “More Than Pink Walk” raised more than $161,000 for breast cancer research. The event, held at the Celebration Plaza in White River State Park, honored those who have died from breast cancer, encouraged those who are fighting it, and celebrated those who have survived it. Anyone interested in donating to the cause can contribute online. (WTHR)
  2. More homicides are going unsolved in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has stated that 143 of the 221 homicides so far this year in Indianapolis remain unsolved — that’s about 65 percent. IMPD says the department has a dedicated group of detectives that only focus on cold cases, but Gregory Wilson Sr., father of a 2015 homicide victim whose case is still unsolved, says he’s never heard from them.
